- 1). Open your OpenOffice Calc or Writer document. Copy and paste a link from an Internet browser, or find the already existing hyperlink you'd like to remove.
- 2). Highlight the cell in Calc of the link that you would like to remove. Right-click and select "Default Formatting." The text will stay but the hyperlink will disappear. You can also find this option under the "Format" menu.
- 3). Right-click on the link in Writer that you would like to remove. Select "Remove Hyperlink" from the resulting box. The text will stay but the hyperlink will disappear.
