My Husband and I decided to take our 5-year-old granddaughter on a "Wonderful World of Disney Vacation". "Wonderful" it WAS NOT. "Wonder" why we went on Disney it definitely WAS. The ship is definitely named properly.
We expected to have coordinated and scheduled FAMILY activities WITH the children, not just a "pawn-off" the children DAYCARE facility.
No Crafts, No Games, and No activities around the pool "WITH" the children as a family.
The food was moderate to poor. The service was HORRIBLE, (45 minutes to receive a cold meal). Serving the child 20 minutes before the adult. Our granddaughter was ready to leave before we had even received our meal. The childrens' menu consisted of 4 entrees - macaroni and cheese, peanut butter, pizza and a special. None of which were overly nutritious. A spoon for the child? My goodness what a concept, apparently they have become a rare commodity from the response I received. I had to ask each night, and then received the spoon well after the meal was cold.
NO Disney Characters meandering along the decks with the children as you see in overly publicized advertisements. YES to standing in line for 25-45 minutes before dinner....and NO autographs, that's another day. WHAT a WASTE OF MONEY,....NEVER AGAIN. Cruise Director....what's that...saw her 1 time giving the departure lecture. We have been on 5 Cruises and know what EXCELLENT service can be.
SAVE your money and use it on a good cruise line. This cruise was only good for emptying our pockets and leaving us "WONDERING."........What was I thinking.
