- 1). Pop open the case of your remote using a flat blade. Run the blade along the outside of the case and then wedge it open in one spot to access the battery inside.
- 2). Notice the position and location of the battery, and remove and replace it with a new battery. Close the case again and go to your automobile to reset the remote to the system.
- 3). Leave your driver's side door open and insert and turn your key in the ignition to the "ACC" position.
- 4). Press and release the "Valet" button on the remote, wait for the starter system to respond, and then press and hold the button again.
- 5). Press the starter button while still holding "Valet" and hold both at the same time. Hold the buttons until the system chirps again, and then release to complete the programming process.
