The Hunger Games: Mocking Jay, Part 1 - About the Books
The Hunger Games trilogy is a bestselling series by Suzanne Collins recommended for teens and older. The suspenseful story is suspenseful and at times horrific, but the dystopian setting lends to a lot of thought-provoking discussions for teens about subjects like a post-apocalyptic world and humanity vs. survival in life or death situations. Scholastic.com has a resource page for teachers which parents could also use to make the book series or movie more educational.
