The Hollywood Foreign Press' annual Golden Globe awards are considered to be a good barometer as to which films will earn Oscar nominations. If that holds true this year, then it looks like the casts of "Brokeback Mountain" and "Walk the Line" should keep their dressy clothes at the front of their closets.
The Johnny Cash biopic "Walk the Line" walked away with acting honors and was named Best Musical/Comedy Film.
However it was the Ang Lee directed drama "Brokeback Mountain" which proved to be the night's big winner, earning four Golden Globes. The story of two cowboys who fall in love while tending sheep took home Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Song, and Best Dramatic Film honors.
