• In "Midnight Club: Los Angeles," you challenge other racers in laps around famous city streets in La-La Land. You can hack the game with various cheats the Rockstar programmers have put into the game. Collect Rockstar barrels as you play to unlock the corresponding cheat. If you enable these cheats (by accessing the game options), it will stop your career mode progress.
  
  

Unlimited Nitro

• Gain the upper hand on your opposition when you acquire nitro for a speed boost. Unlock a cheat that gives you unlimited nitro by collecting 10 Rockstar barrels.
  
  

No Wrecking

• If your car takes enough damage, you will wreck and have to start the race from scratch. Activate the "Never Damage Out" cheat by collecting 20 Rockstar barrels and you will not wreck.
  
  

Super Car

• You gain special abilities as you progress through the game: "Agro" allows you to plow through your competitors to take the lead. "Zone" slows down time to help you make those tight turns. Using "EMP" will send out an Electro Magnetic Pulse to disable other cars. To unlock them all and have unlimited special abilities, collect 30 Rockstar barrels and activate the corresponding cheat.
  
  

Avoid the Police

• Collect 50 Rockstar barrels and turn on a cheat that keeps the police from chasing you.
