- 1). Remove all of the parts from the wheelbarrow kit box and spread them out on the ground. Find the instruction sheet; this will have the parts list on it. Look over the parts list to make sure everything is there.
- 2). Find the metal bumper or nose guard and the bottom of the handles where the bolt holes are located. Line up the holes of the handles with the holes of the bumper or nose guard. Set the appropriate bolts into place so that the bolt tops are facing out or up.
- 3). Attach a washer to one of the bolts on the underside of the handle; this is the side the bolt threads are on. Set the washer tight against the handle. Screw the nut onto the bolt in a clockwise rotation, turning the nut to the right with your hand. Repeat this process with the other bolt. Attach the socket wrench to the nut. Tighten the nut securely. Do the same with the other bolt.
- 4). Set the handles on top of the legs and line up the holes. Put the load tray on the handles over the legs. Line up the holes of the tray with the other holes for the handles and legs. Set the appropriate bolts into place with the bolt heads facing up.
- 5). Tighten down the bolts from step 4 using the method described in step 3.
- 6). Turn the wheelbarrow upside down so the legs point into the air.
- 7). Slide the axle rod through the middle of the wheel. Set the axle onto the handles with the wheel attached; make sure the wheel is centered on the axle. Put the axle brackets over the axle. Put the bolts for the brackets through the holes in the brackets so the threaded end is facing the ground.
- 8). Attach the nuts to the bolts. Start the nut by hand, turning the nut onto the bolt in a clockwise rotation until the nut stays on the bolt. You only need to turn the nut about four turns to do this. Attach the box wrench to the bolt head; with the box wrench in position, attach the open-ended wrench to the nut. Hold the bolt still with the box wrench while turning the nut clockwise with the open-ended wrench. Do this until the nut is tight. Repeat the process for the other bolt.
- 9). Put air into the tire using the air compressor and nozzle. Bring the air pressure up to the level recommended in the instruction book or on the tire.
