- 1). Open the "File" menu of Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro and choose "New Project."
- 2). Drag your PAL media file into the file browser window and wait for the media to import.
- 3). Right-click on your project's timeline and open the "Properties" section. Set the format to "NTSC DV."
- 4). Drag your media onto the timeline.
- 5). Open the "Filters" tab and drag the "Deinterlace" filter onto the video. Double-click on the video and set the filter to "Blend" mode.
- 6). Unlink the video and audio tracks. In Premiere, right-click on either track and deselect "Link audio and video." In Final Cut Pro, select the tracks and press the "Command" and "L" keys on your keyboard.
- 7). Right-click on the video track and select "Speed." Change the speed to 96 percent and click "OK."
- 8). Open the "File" menu and select "Export." Choose the "NTSC DV" preset and click "OK." Your video may take anywhere from several minutes to an hour to render and export, depending on the length of the footage and the processing power of your machine.
