- 1). Open Publisher 2010. Click "File" then "New" to view the Available Templates page.
- 2). Click "Flyers" to view the available installed and online flier templates. Find this below the "More Templates" section of the page. Locate the section representing the type of flier you wish to create. For example, look under the "Event" section to find the event flier templates. Browse through the templates until you find the one you want to use. Click to highlight the desired template.
- 3). Customize your flier settings using the customization pane located on the right side of the screen. Select the desired flier color scheme and font scheme. Click "Create New" under "Business Information" to enter your business information, if desired. Click to select or deselect the "Include Mailing Address" and the "Include Graphic" checkboxes. Choose whether you want to include informational tear-offs on the bottom of the flier. Then click "Create" to open the flier using your selected options.
- 4). Customize the flyer. Click to select placeholder text and replace it by typing your own information into the field. To make additional changes to the colors, fonts and other page-related setting, click "File," "Info" and "Commercial Print Settings." Alternatively, you can click the "Page Design" tab, then click the "More" button to change the color scheme.
- 5). Insert a logo, picture or other image. Double-click the generic picture placeholder slowly, pausing briefly between clicks. This opens the "Insert Picture" dialog box. Alternatively, you can click the "Insert" tab and select the "Picture" option. Go to the folder containing the desired picture or logo, and then double-click the image to insert it into your flier. Adjust the image, as needed, using the tools available on the "Picture Tools" tab.
- 6). Enter the necessary information to complete the tear-off form, if you are using one. Click placeholder text and then type the desired information in its place. You also may add text boxes to include titles or other information not already included in the form.
- 7). Click "File" then "Save" to save the flier. Name the flier, then go to the desired file storage location and click "Save."
