Simple Copywriting Tips that Work

Creating a high converting copy is not just about writing. It involves understanding your target market and showing them why you can give them the solution to their problems. The following tips on copywriting will help you do just that.

First of all, your copy is not the place to be bragging about yourself. You have to turn your attention to the people who will be buying your product, your customers. Your readers are only interested in what your product is going to do for them, not about your great qualities or accomplishments. They want to hear how you or your product is going to help them. If you waste your limited space by going on and on about your own accomplishments you'll only be pushing away the people whose attention you need. Remember, when writing copy, "you" is a much more powerful word to use than "I." Some copywriters don't understand why they tell everyone how wonderful they are and yet their competitors get all the business. You should not save the part of your copy that really interests them (the benefits) till the end. Throughout your copy, your focus should be on your customer.

It is possible to increase the products value when writing a sales copy in many ways. Including a free bonus is also one way to increase the value for the user. We all like to get free stuff. They all like it when less money is spent on something of quality. So when you throw in a couple of free bonuses along with your main product, it automatically enhances the value of your product and makes your price look smaller. There are also instances where people only bought the product for the free bonus included.

Yes, it can be that powerful. But again, it depends on how you position yourself and what kind of bonuses you offer. To see positive results the bonuses must compliment the product. Don't put in the bonus just for the heck of it.

Having a long or short copy has always been a debatable subject. The decision for either a long or short copy is up to you but studies have shown that a long copy gets better results. People want as much information on a product before buying and this is why a long copy is more likable. But you can give away a short version of your copy for all those people who won't want to go through the whole thing. Effective copywriting is about learning to harness the power of words to really showcase your product to prospective buyers. It takes time to perfect it, but will eventually be worth it.
