- 1). Choose acrylic paint colors that complement the theme of your keepsake frame. Paint the front, outside and inside. (Note: the sample in the photo is a beach theme; the bottom is sand beige and the middle and top is ocean blue). Let it dry.
- 2). Use white glue to add embellishments. Try different, contrasting layouts first before securing the items to the frame. Place small ones on top of larger ones to create a three-dimensional effect. Let it dry.
- 3). Take the frame outside and lay it on a sheet of newspaper. Spray the entire frame with a generous layer of clear aerosol paint, including inner opening and sides. It will dry shiny and preserve the embellishments, giving the frame a pretty finish.
