Don't forget to look back over your shoulder when you cross the Millennium Bridge, to see the fantastic view of St. Paul's Cathdral.
Conclusion It was suggested that this tour would take about 90 minutes but it took me 3 hours and I didn't go into any of the buildings along the way, although I did stop for a short rest in a churchyard. You definitely need more time than they suggest and I would advise spending most of the day on this tour. And do it at the weekend - the City of London area really does empty on Saturday and Sunday which would make it a much more pleasant experience.
And end your tour with time in Tate Modern as it offers calm after traipsing all over the City. It also has cafes and restaurants. Or if you just want to get lunch then walk along the The South Bank to Gabriel's Wharf where I would recommend the Gourmet Pizza Company.
