Atlanta Botanical Garden

• Between the months of May through September guests can enjoy The Atlanta Botanical Garden on Thursday evenings. The event, better known as Cocktails in the Garden, is open to both garden members and the general public. Guests can enjoy drinks, gourmet snacks from local restaurants, and a live DJ, all while exploring the garden grounds. Visitors can also sample from the demos taking place in the edible garden outdoor kitchen. The elevated canopy walk offers views of the city's skyline as well.

Dad's Garage

• Residing in the historic neighborhood of Inman Park, the theatre known as Dad's Garage stages a collection of original productions and comedy improv performances. The theater offers improv shows every Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. Guests can secure discounted tickets by ordering online, purchasing a subscription or buying tickets for groups of 10 or more. Students equipped with an ID can receive half-priced tickets as well.

High Museum of Art

• The High Museum of Art features more than 11,000 pieces on hand. The facility boasts a vast collection, including such varied items as modern art, 19th century French impressionists, photography and African art. On the third Friday of each month, the museum offers an evening filled with jazz music. Guests can still enjoy the museum's works with the added enhancement of live musical performances. Friday Jazz typically runs from 5 to 10 p.m.
