- 1). Begin by dealing out five cards to each player. Deal the cards in the same manner as you would for standard five-card poker. Allow the players to pick up and look at all five of their cards.
- 2). Allow players the option to check, bet or fold. If a player does bet, others must either match that bet or even raise to stay in the hand. Otherwise, players can fold and sit the hand out.
- 3). Place three cards face down on the table once all players have received their five cards. Lay the three cards down in a straight line, one in front of the other.
- 4). Flip the first card over. Allow all players to once again bet, check or fold. Make sure that everything is all set with the money in the pot, including all raises, before continuing.
- 5). Flip the second card over. Once again, allow all players to either check, bet or fold. If there are two or more players remaining in the hand, continue to the final card.
- 6). Turn the final card over. For the final time, allow all players to check, bet or fold. Players may once again raise to whatever pot limit you created before the game. Once all of the money is in the pot, both players should flip over their five cards.
- 7). Use a combination of the five cards in your hand and the three on the table to make the best hand possible. Players can use one, two or all three of the cards on the table in order to make a five-card hand if they wish. For example, let's assume that the first card is the 3 of diamonds, the second card is the 9 of clubs and the third card is the 7 of spades. If a player has a 4, 5 and 6 in his hand, he can use the 3 of diamonds and 7 of spades on the table to make a straight even though those cards aren't next to one another on the table. It doesn't matter how many cards a player uses from the table to make his hand so long as he makes a five-card hand.
- 8). Use standard poker rules for five-card poker to determine the winning hand. An example is, Royal Flush beats Straight Flush beats Four-of-a-Kind.
