It was very unusual that only one day of the ritual rites was organized instead of four to five days of ceremonies.
The short ceremonies were intentionally performed to keep a low profile to accommodate Ramesh's feelings.
The coveted day in the life of Ramesh and Kavita was celebrated with all possible moderations.
The typical bride attire and flowers Garland and jewel were literally covered Kavita's face.
It became difficult to recognise her.
Ramesh did not see her before his marriage and her photo, which was kept by his mother, was misplaced.
The sequence of events was full of sad incidents and tragedies.
However, Ramesh trusted his parents and after speaking to Kavita, he was convinced that everything will be normal.
The marriage was solemnized and the couple returned to bridegroom's home.
After the ritual rites, the couple went to their bedroom.
Kavita went to the cupboard for changing her clothes and Ramesh went to the dining hall to get some fruits and milk for them.
Kavita removed all bits and pieces and returned to the bed as simple as anybody could be.
Ramesh returned and asked Kavita if she wanted some fruit or milk.
The moment Kavita turned to answer and looked at him; Ramesh froze to death.
He literally became speechless and helped by Kavita to the bed.
She was surprised and shocked.
Ramesh immediately rushed out of his bedroom.
He was in a dilemma and went back to his bedroom.
Kavita asked if he needed any medical help.
He declined her offer.
He wanted to talk to Kavita rather seriously.
Kavita being a psychologist tried to probe the behavioural pattern and arrive at a possible conclusion.
Ramesh being a matured and docile person composed himself and went to his table and took a photograph and shown to her.
Kavita froze and realised the reason for his abnormal behaviour.
Her face resembled exactly like a replica of her mother in law.
She knew the reasons for Ramesh's aversion to getting near to her.
Every time Ramesh tried to come close to Kavita.
Her mother's face appeared in front of him.
Kavita asked Ramesh to face the reality once and for all.
She guided him to approach the problem in a more realistic fashion rather than clinical.
Kavita asked Ramesh to remember her mother's most favourable colour and typical habit, which have powerful influence on him.
Kavita will select those colours and try to adopt those habits and asked Ramesh to remember that she is his wife Kavita and not his mother.
Initially, Ramesh was quite apprehensive but gradually the ghost image of his sub-conscious started fading off slowly and effectively.
Kavita asked Ramesh to remain calm and show ignorance about the whole issue.
She also cautioned him to ensure that this incident remain within their house.
Even her own parents were kept in the dark.
Ramesh wanted to spend most of the time outside his home.
However, insisted that he should take a vocation and spend the time with his wife.
She wanted to share every moment with Ramesh and made him feel comfortable in her company.
She started discussing romantic scenes of some novels and started watching movies.
She slowly started cuddling and coaxing him as the situation demanded.
She continued showering all the love and affection to him.
She ensured that his need both at home and outside was accommodated.
She always encouraged him to initiate convivial talks.
She also knew that to win a man's heart is through the stomach.
Her culinary expertise clubbed with healthy home environments was showing positive results.
Within a short span of three months Ramesh was changed man.
He reconciled to the facts of life and started his normal married life.
They remembered that it was the Friday night, and they were at a resort for the long weekend.
They finished the dinner and were relaxing in the lawn.
The moon light was really romantic and Ramesh made his first move.
It was a bold and confident gesture; he extended to her.
He cajoled her and took her into his arms and headed towards his bedroom.
They lied down on the bed, and she switched off the lights.
The perfectly match and much awaited love was transformed into a reality.
They enjoyed their first married couple night in an environment of trust and sublimity of their true love.
She confessed to Ramesh that his views on marriage were indeed true and realistic.
Ramesh candidly confessed that he will always be grateful to her for salvaging his and professional life.
He thanked his parents for choosing the most appropriate girl for him.
