- 1). Lay out sticks at 16-inch intervals along the length of the cherry lumber on a concrete floor.
- 2). Lay the lumber perpendicular, across the sticks, starting at one side until you have a layer of cherry.
- 3). Lay out another set of sticks directly on top of the first sticks, using the end of the sticks for reference to align them.
- 4). Lay out another layer of lumber perpendicular on top of the sticks. Stack all the cherry by alternating lumber, sticks, lumber, etc.
- 5). Cover the stack of drying lumber with a tarp.
