If you love nothing more than relaxing in the sun and listening to the sounds of your favourite bands, then a summer full of festivals in London is sure to be right up your street.
You are never far away from a hostel in London and with such a wide range of cheap accommodation on offer, there is no reason why this summer cannot be filled with the sound of music.
And one of the best places to head to catch some great acts is the world-famous Hyde Park.
Ideally situated in the centre of London, the park is easily accessible by both tube and bus - and with so much cheap accommodation, you can still stay in the middle of the big smoke for next to nothing.
Starting off this summer's Hyde Park events calendar is Hard Rock Calling, a festival perfect for those who love their music with a heavy dose of guitar.
Headlining this year's event are grunge rockers Pearl Jam, with Wolfmother also set to make an appearance.
Ex-Beatle Sir Paul McCartney will also be entertaining the summer crowds at the event, which is due to kick off on June 25th.
It will finish on June 27th.
However, if you are after something a little lighter and poppier, this year's Wireless Festival could appeal.
Pop princess Pink is due to take to the stage at the event on its opening night, July 2nd, with London's very own Lily Allen also set to perform.
Chipmunk, Daisy Dares You and US punk rockers Bowling for Soup are also on the bill.
If you are planning on heading to a hostel in London and your taste in music is strictly bling-tinged, then Wireless is still ideal.
US rap superstar Jay-Z will be closing the main stage on the Sunday evening at Wireless and fellow rapper Missy Elliot will also be wowing the capital crowd on Saturday night.
Both Hyde Park events are sure to appeal to music lovers planning a break to a London hostel this summer and the park itself boasts beautiful surroundings and a number of interesting statues and fountains.
