• Established in a Wilmington Landmark building in 1864, Kelly's Logan House is the oldest Irish pub in Delaware and a fixture in the nightlife scene. The relatively large space includes two outdoor decks, a bar on each level, a stage and a large dance floor. Owned and operated by the Kelly family since 1889, the venue features popular local bands on weekends and a friendly atmosphere every night of the week. The menu serves seasonal food and pub staples such as burgers and wraps. At night, the dress code does not allow for athletic wear or baggy clothing.

Klondike Kate's

• In the same neighborhood as many University of Delaware dorms, Klondike Kate's attracts mostly college students, while locals make themselves comfortable on the patio. With live music on weekends, a popular '90s night and DJs spinning when the stage is empty, there are always people dancing, eating and drinking in this lively venue. The spacious building, which dates back to 1757, has a colorful history as a former jail, roller rink and resort. Rusty Rudder

• On Dickinson Beach, the Rusty Rudder is a favorite for live music, festivals and dancing seven nights a week. The venue is open April through October and serves full lunch, dinner and happy hour menus that include sea food, steak and homemade soups. The venue is best known for hosting five free spring and fall music festivals featuring over thirty bands on four outdoor stages every season, as well as cover acts including Elvis impersonators.
