Learn Guitar - How to Play Wickedly Fast Chords With Your Guitar

Have you ever watched someone play a guitar solo that is so wicked and dizzyingly fast that it left you short of breath and green with envy?  Maybe that performance even inspired you to speed things up with your own guitar.
There is no reason why you cannot learn guitar and play really fast chords like that.
All you need to do is to sit down with your guitar and study how it is done.
Here is how you do it.
1.
Prepare yourself and develop an attitude of learning.

If you thought that learning the basics of playing the guitar was a walk in the park, learning how to play fast chords is not going to be one.
This guitar lesson will take a lot of practice and your fingers - if not your whole body - will cry before your lessons are done.
There is no way out of the hardship and the pain that will come from learning how to play fast chords; you will just have to suck it up and do it.
2.
Get a metronome.
A metronome is a device that allows you to measure your tempo.
You can either get one from a music store or download metronome software on the Internet.
The metronome will be your gauge for how fast you are playing your guitar.
3.
Find the songs you want to practice on.

You will need to concentrate on playing snippets of these songs at a time until you learn how to play them right.
Playing only portions of the songs will also allow you to memorize the song piece by piece as well as let the muscles of your fingers, hands and arms become accustomed to your pace of playing.
4.
Choose songs that will challenge you.

Do not pick up easy songs because they are easy.
However, selecting really hard pieces to practice your playing is like suicide.
It will only end in frustration for you.
5.
Play the pieces slowly at first.

Once you have memorized the chords and have a feel for how they are played, you can gradually add speed to your playing with the help of your metronome.
Make sure that you build up speed with every practice session.
Even though you are supposed to start slowly, your goal is to learn how to play fast and you can only achieve that by increasing your speed a little bit each day.
6.
Practice whenever you can.
Again, you will never learn how to play really fast chords if you do not work on your lessons.
As overused as this sounds, but practice really makes perfect.
It is not impossible to learn guitar and play dizzyingly fast chords just like the guitar legends do.
However, this task takes a lot of work and patience.
As long as you allot time for your guitar practices every single day, you will learn how to play fast chords in almost no time at all.
