How to Modify Disabled Attributes

1). Log into the system as a system administrator.
2). Click the "Start" menu and choose "Control Panel." Click "Appearance and Personalization," then click "Folder Options."
3). Click "View," then click the "Show hidden files and folders" button, located in the "Advanced settings" section.
4). Uncheck the check box that corresponds to the "Hide protected operating system files (Recommended)" option. This lets you modify disabled attributes that correspond to the operating system.
5). Click "Apply," then click "OK" to confirm changes.
6). Open the folder that contains the attributes you want to modify. The attributes will be enabled and editable. Modify the files as needed.
