The Economic Community of Central African States (ECCAS) or CEEAC, aims to attain collective autonomy, maintain economic stability and raise the living standard. The union began functioning in 1985, but due to certain financial difficulties, it remained inactive for several years. The union has been recognized a pillar of the AEC or African Economic Community, but in was during 1999 when formal contact was established between these two communities. The ultimate goal was to establish a common market and develop rules to maintain peace in the country. From years, the union is developing economic, physical and monetary integration as well as an autonomous financing mechanism.
The recent developments and meetings of CEEAC were noticed around Congolese (Congolais), being one of the latest stories. They are immigrants who belongs to a Democratic Republic of the Congo and a lot of them are distributed in the UK. They were brought as slaves to the US,and their voluntary migration was noticed in the 1960s and that for educational reasons. Initially they had decided to come back but later they were forced to stay in foreign countries due to unfavourable economic and political conditions in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The union always wanted to develop a human integration culture. CEMAC supports the free movement of these refugees, and for this lot of meetings and conferences have been planned.
The immigrants doubt the security and living conditions in the countries, they are living, that is why the union decided to integrate with other nations. The ministerial-sectoral is committed towards accelerating the freedom of movement of immigrants. Over 600 immigrants in Gabon, a sovereign state in Central Africa on the west coast, to be a return to the home. According to The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, the remaining refugees will also come back as soon as possible. The UNHCR is meant to support and protect the rights of immigrants at the request of the government.
The Central African countries have concluded to share their resources, space, vision, strengths and power towards space integrated economy. The next meeting of CEMAC, ECCAS is set to be held in Bangui after consultation with the ministers. As far as the structure of the union is concerned, it includes court of justice, council of ministers, consultative commission, secretariat journal and conference of heads.
