How to Make a Baby Blanket Gift Basket

There are so many DIY baby gift ideas that you can create at home.
One of the most practical is a baby blanket gift basket.
Such gift is actually pretty simple to make.
Just be creative when jazzing up the gift basket to make it memorable.
But how to make a baby blanket gift basket? Here are some helpful tips to follow: 1.
Pick a container.
Traditional baby gift baskets usually use wicker baskets as the container, but you can always use other alternatives such as a laundry basket, toy box, bucket, baby bath tub, or even a wagon.
Be creative, think of a useful container that the mom can use after it was emptied.
2.
Select a theme or color.
Depending on the baby's gender, you can follow a gender-theme or other fun themes to be reflected on the basket.
Following a theme can make your work easier, as it will tell what type, color or designs that are appropriate to the basket.
If the gender of the baby is still unknown or the mom would like to keep it as a secret, then the safest way to do is to make a gender-neutral gift basket.
Choose baby items in neutral colors such as green, white, yellow and orange.
Other possible these you may consider are cartoons, fairytale, sports, Barbie, jungle or zoo, and so on.
3.
Make a budget.
Baby items are adorable, and it is very easy to get carried away picking those attractive and cute little items.
With that, you will need to make a budget first to avoid overspending.
4.
Select baby blankets.
When selecting baby blankets, consider the place and weather where they at.
You should try getting a few baby blankets for each season.
Get some light weight blankets for sunny season, and some thick blankets for cold season.
5.
Pick extra add-ons.
Consider little extras as add-ons into your baby blanket gift basket.
Adorable baby items such as rattles, stuffed animals, teddy bear, baby mobiles, baby books, nursery rhyme CDs, pacifiers, baby bottles and the likes are small gifts that you can add in the basket.
6.
Roll the blankets.
Roll each blanket and tie with a matching ribbon.
If you want, you can make an extra touch by adding a small rattle or teddy on the bow.
7.
Placing a lining and adding the fillers.
You can use one of your blankets to line the surface of the basket.
Once you are done, you can then put all the rolled blankets in the basket.
After which, add your extra little gifts by spreading them in between the blankets.
8.
Finish your baby blanket gift basket by decorating the container.
If the basket has a handle, you can wrap it with ribbon, or wrap the entire outer part of the container.
You can also use a colored or clear cellophane to wrap the whole package.
Lastly, tie the top using a matching ribbon and make a bow to hold them up together.
Pretty simple, isn't it? A baby blanket gift basket is just one of the most practical and easiest baby gifts to make.
If you don't have time to make your own gift basket, there are plenty of stores both in local and online that carry various selections of baby gift baskets.
You can even find personalized baby gift baskets that you can customize with your own personal touch.
