- 1). Maneuver through the course. Drive the vehicle through a boxed area consisting of four markers. Follow the examiner's instructions to steer to the right or left after exiting the boxed area. Avoid the marker near your turning point. After turning, steer straight and stop when the rear of the car reaches the marker and is parallel to the course.
- 2). Back into the boxed area. Utilize your turn signal. Put the vehicle in reverse and back into the boxed area. Avoid hitting the markers as you will be required to start again. Aim for the rear corner. Back into the space until your bumper is even with the markers and the vehicle is parallel to the testing course. Utilize your rear view mirror and look over your shoulder to successfully maneuver.
- 3). Drive out of the parking area. Once you have successfully parallel parked, return the vehicle to the original position. Carefully put the vehicle in drive and steer out of the space, turning the wheel one revolution before pulling forward. Avoid any contact with the markers.
