Real Heroes: Firefighter (Nintendo Wii)

With an "E for Everyone" rating, Real Heroes: Firefighter, serves as a great kind-friendly firefighter game. The Nintendo Wii title puts you in control of a heroic firefighter from the first person perspective. It fits the mold of the typical Wii first person shooter, where you use the Wii Remote to aim your vision and the Nunchuk to control movement, but instead of shooting villains you'll be blasting away at fires. You'll also use tools such as an axe to break away obstructions. A kid-friendly checkpoint system ensures you'll be able to progress through the game fairly easily even if your firefighter succumbs to the flames a few times.

Jake Power: Fireman, lets you carry out a variety of firefighter tasks through several mini-games. You'll race to the scene of an emergency in your fire truck, activate fire hydrants, spray the fire hose and climb ladders to save fire victims. Although these mini-games are simple, the challenge comes in trying to beat your high score and earn stars for getting through the various levels more quickly. When you earn stars, you can spend them at the game's shop to outfit your fire truck with new sirens, a more powerful hose, better tires and a range of other power-ups to add a level of customization to the game play.

Firefighter Command: Raging Inferno, gives you a broader view of the firefighting action. Rather than control a single firefighter, you'll control a whole fleet of fire trucks and team of firefighters in a real time strategy (RTS) format. The game features realistic 3D graphics and has you pitting your team of firefighters against the elements in a range of scenarios, such as fighting the spread of a massive wildfire or rescuing innocents from a burning shopping mall.
