Decide Where You Want to Go

• 1). Visit the Chicago Greeters site at chicagogreeter.com.
  
  
• 2). Click the "Visitors" tab.
  
  
• 3). Click the "Neighborhoods" tab. There you will find a full list and description of all the Chicago neighborhoods that you can visit with a Chicago Greeter.
  
  

Register Your Visit with a Greeter

• 1). From the Neighborhoods tab, click "Register" and scroll down to the button that says "Click Here To Register."
  
  
• 2). Fill in the request form with all the information and details of your request. These include your contact information, neighborhood or area you would like to visit, and your preferences for the dates you would like to schedule the visit.
  
  
• 3). Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the form.
  
  
• 4). Review the confirmation page to be sure all the information is accurate. If you need to change anything, click the "Change" button to go back and make changes to your request. Otherwise click the "Approve" button to continue.
  
  
• 5). Review the final confirmation page, and write down your confirmation number.
  
  

Check Your Email Inbox

• 1). Within seconds of submitting your request, an email will be sent to the email address you provided in your request. The message will be from "chgogreeter@cityofchicago.org." If you don't see this email in your inbox, check your spam or junk folder.
  
  
• 2). Read the information and follow-up instructions contained in the email.
  
  
• 3). Monitor your inbox for a message from the greeter you have been matched with and respond accordingly.
