NCAA Football Week 3 Report
Week No. 3 of the college football season is here and the key game this week is undoubtedly Alabama at Texas A & M. The Aggies pulled off the upset of Alabama last season, but the oddsmakers don't believe it will be easy to repeat, making Alabama a 7.5-point favorite. The college football power rating have been updated and adjusted to include several additional sets of numbers, so we'll see if that helps this week at all.
Power Rating Plays
Last week: 6-8Season to date: 11-12
Bowling Green+3
Nevada+35
Kent+36.5
Central Michigan+7.5
Wisconsin+5
The Plays
Bowling Green+3 Have to believe that Bowling Green can get the victory here, as the Falcons are a veteran-laden team that has plenty of talent.Nevada+35 The line has kept climbing on this one, but still will stay away from Nevada in this spot against an talented Florida State team that can points on the board in a hurry.
Kent+36.5 Liked Kent last week when they threw in a stinker and in no real hurry to back them once again, although they aren't receiving much respect in this one from the oddsmakers.
Central Michigan+7.5 One of these weeks UNLV is going to put it together and it could very well be here, so will stay away from this one, as well.
Wisconsin+5 The Badgers just squeaked in at the 7-point margin, but am not sure how the Badgers will travel in this spot. Staying away from this one as well.
Other Games
Vanderbilt+13.5 Looks as though the Commodore's aren't getting much respect from the oddsmakers here, but they have a talented squad capable of giving the Gamecocks a run for their money.Western Kentucky-7 Western Kentucky was a comedy of errors last week, but expect a much better effort against a pretty dismal South Alabama squad.
