Hints for Temple of Doom for the Wii

Indiana Jones, protagonist of the movie series of the same name, is known for his adventures, one of which took place at the Temple of Doom. There he faced armed assassins, a death cult and the supernatural forces of a cult leader. In the Wii version of "LEGO Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues," getting through the Temple of Doom is as challenging as it was in the film. However, if you keep a few things in mind going in, you should be able to win the day.

Story Level 1: Lao Chase

During the chase scene, you'll be attacked by a number of enemy vehicles, including that of the main enemy, Lao. Stop and capture a smaller vehicle--these have weapons you can use to destroy the enemy vehicles, including Lao's.

There are three monkeys sitting in high-up places, each guarding one of the three sacred stones you'll need to collect the level. You can toss each of them a banana to trade it for its stone.

Use Indy's whip to snag a sword from an enemy, which makes battling your way through waves of attackers a little bit easier. Enemies hanging from the balcony can be brought to your level by whipping at the orange peg below them.

This is a level that plays to your various characters' strengths and abilities, so you'll need to manage them in the correct order. Willie should start in the west, building a ladder for Short Round to climb up. Short Wound will find a small passage to climb into, containing a crank. Move Indy onto the nearby platform, and then have Short Round turn the crank. After Indy jumps down into the new area, he'll find a crate that he can destroy by pushing it off the ledge, revealing pieces for a new ladder.

Send Indy up this ladder, whip the Maharaja and take the key he drops. This key pulls the cage out of the lava, revealing a blue gear. Take this blue gear to the device in the eastern part of the level. Find and beat up some thuggees, until one of them drops his cap, which you can put on Willie. Send her to touch the statue; this will lift up the statue to reveal the second blue gear, which someone needs to bring back to the first gear. Send Indy to the upper right, where he'll find a gap to swing across and another blue gear. Once Short Round repairs the device with all three gears, the level is complete.

After the Maharaja helps you gain access to the level by controlling the guard, you face the final boss: Mola Ram. He's controlling a giant statue that is rampaging across the level. Taking the creature out isn't too hard, once you figure out the pattern. Start by tossing a water jug at the boss's feet, stunning him. Send Short Round in to climb up the statue and punch Mola Ram. Switch back to Indy, who should whip off one of the statue's arms at the orange peg. The enemy becomes more vicious as he loses limbs, so stay on the move, and continue the pattern until you bring the creature down. Remove the orange peg on the head to drain the lava and win the fight.
