- 1). Measure the area you wish to cover with rubber flooring and note down the dimensions.
- 2). Unroll the rubber flooring and measure out the needed dimensions on the rubber itself. Make a mark on the rubber -- or just place your T-edge on the cutting line -- where you need to cut.
- 3). Use the T-edge as a guide and score a line into the rubber along the length you need to cut. Keep the line straight by keeping the T-edge pressed up against the side of the knife as you cut.
- 4). Replace your razor blade often as you cut to ensure a clean, even scoring in the rubber.
- 5). Continue going over the score line with the razor knife until the rubber separates into two pieces. Repeat the process as needed until the rubber flooring is cut down to size.
