Top 20 Best Places to Find Work in Australia

The 20 hottest spots to find work in Australia were revealed in the results of a new survey.
Using Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) data, the report measured 20 zones across the country to record a minimum five percent increase in employment since November 2007.
Sydney's north and Perth's east topped the list, recording a 13 percent growth in employment since November 2007.
In the same period, employment grew by 11 percent in South Eastern New South Wales and 10 percent in Lower Western in Western Australia, Ipswich City, northern-northwest Queensland and inner Melbourne.
From a State perspective, New South Wales (NSW) came top, providing a home to 7 of the 20 top regions.
Following closely behind NSW were Queensland (QLD) with 5, Victoria (VIC) with 4 and Western Australia (WA) with 2.
South Australia and Tasmania followed the pack with Western Adelaide and Tasmania's 'Northern Sector' proving to be equally attractive hot spots! The Top 20 Regions were: 1 ) Perth East Metropolitan Disitrict in WA with an increase in employment growth of 13% 2 ) Lower Northern Sydney in NSW with an increase of 13% 3 ) South Eastern in NSW with an increase of 11% 4 ) Lower Western WA in WA with an increase of 10% 5 ) Ipswich City in QLD with an increase in employment growth of 10% 6 ) Northern-North West in QLD with an increase of 10% 7 ) Inner Melbourne in VIC with an increase of 10% 8 ) Inner Sydney in NSW with an increase of 9% 9 ) South and East BSB Balance in QLD with an increase of 9% 10) Darling Downs-South West in QLD with an increase of 8% 11) Eastern Suburbs in NSW with an increase of 7% 12) Central Western Sydney in NSW with an increase of 6% 13) Illawarra in NSW with an increase of 6% 14) South Eastern Melbourne in VIC with an increase in employment growth of 6% 15) Wide Bay-Burnett in QLD with an increase of 6% 16) Northern Sector in TAS with an increase of 5% 17) Western Adelaide in SA with an increase of 5% 18) Southern Melbourne in VIC with an increase of 5% 19) St George-Sutherland in NSW with an increase of 5% 20) Barwon-Western District in VIC with an increase in employment growth of 5% Bankwest Retail CEO Ian Corfield said the results are encouraging and suggest the worst may be behind us.
"Our report shows that employment in the inner suburbs has held up, highlighting that Australia's labour market has performed better than expected during the global financial crisis," he said.
