- 1). Download an audio converter. Audio converters that can convert WMA into WAV include Switch Sound File Converter, Audio Converter and Audio MP3 WAV WMA OGG Converter (see Resources).
- 2). Launch the audio conversion program on your computer by going to "Start" and "All Programs." Scroll to the name of the program that you downloaded in the list, click on the program folder and then click again on the program name. The program window comes up on the screen.
- 3). Click the "Add" or "Add Files" button in the conversion program. When the "Add Files" window comes up, navigate through the folders on the computer's hard drive until you find the folder that contains the WMA music file that you want to convert. Double-click the file to add it to the conversion queue.
- 4). Choose "WAV" as the output format for the converter. To select in Switch or Audio Converter, click the arrow by "Output Format" or "Convert to File Format" and click "WAV." In Audio MP3 WAV WMA OGG Converter, click on the "WMA to WAV" tab.
- 5). Change the destination folder for the audio converter. Click the "Browse" or "Edit" button by "Output Folder" or "Output Filenames" and navigate to the folder you would like to save the converted files into in the window that comes up. Click "OK" to set the folder for output.
- 6). Press the "Convert" or "OK" button in the program to convert the WMA music file into WAV. Conversion progress is monitored onscreen and the WAV file created by the conversion program is saved into the destination folder.
