  1. Environmental toxins are a major factor that can lead to premature skin aging and wrinkles.
    Toxins can come in many forms ranging from pollution in the environment, to poor air quality in your home, to cigarette and alcohol use.
    As you can see, toxins are all around you.
    They are in the air you breath and the food you eat.
    These toxins effect the bodies ability to fight damage and increase the rates of aging.
    The key to preventing premature aging is avoiding toxins (e.

    , smoking and alcohol) whenever possible.
    Cigarette smoke and alcohol both dry out the skin which causes the skin to wrinkle.
    These are both very bad for the skins health and overall appearance.

    If you are constantly under stress, you age more quickly.
    This means that experiencing stress will actually make you look older than you really are.
    Although it is unclear exactly how stress effects aging, some people think it is related to the hormone cortisol which occurs at higher levels as you age.
    The presence of cortisol has an effect on the natural creation of elastin and collagen.
    In order to minimize stress avoid stressful situations and find a way to cope with and alleviate stress when it does occur.
  3. Good nutrition is a very important aspect that helps prevent skin aging and wrinkles.
    If you are malnourished and do not get all the vitamins and minerals that your body needs your skin will show it.
    Eating a healthy diet with a high intake of fruits and vegetables is a great way to give your body what it needs to keep your skin healthy and youthful.
    Avoid unhealthy fatty food and food cooked in unhealthy oils such as vegetable oil.
    Use Olive oil as this is a much healthier oil to cook food in.
    Also avoid sugary processed foods that are high in artificial ingredients and loaded with sugar.
    Choose lean meats over fatty unhealthy meats when possible.
