Anya Alvarez was the Oklahoma state girls champion her junior year in high school, then embarked on a college career at the University of Washington. There, she posted five Top 10 finishes. She turned pro in 2011, and in 2012, a matter of weeks before the premiere of Big Break Atlantis, played in her first Futures Tour event and finished 23rd. Alvarez is also a spokesperson for the KidSafe Foundation, an organization that educates parents and children about protecting kids from sexual abuse and other forms of abuse.
