- 1). Avoid touching or rubbing your eyes. Even if your eyes itch, rubbing them can increase the water build up and actually make your eyes worse.
- 2). Move away from the possible allergens. If you are outside and all of the pollen is wreaking havoc on your eyes you should move indoors.
- 3). Take some allergy medication. There are several different over-the-counter medications you can take to help clear up the issue. Many of these brands only cost a few dollars.
- 4). Apply eye drops to your eyes if the allergy medication does not work. The eye drops can help clear any irritants from your eyes.
