Exercises to Keep the Eyes Healthy

It is very important to take care of our eyes to maintain a perfect vision.
Oftentimes, we take our eyes for granted.
We would read while riding the bus, read while lying down, and stare at the computer for hours without an anti-glare screen.
If we continue to neglect the proper care of our eyes, it could lead to many eye problems that may even impair our vision totally.
Here are some exercises for the eyes that you can do to relieve eye stress and eye strain: While sitting in a comfortable position, rub your palms together until they become warm.
Close your eyes and cover them with your palms for a few seconds.
Do not put pressure on the eyeballs.
Take a deep breath and relax.
Repeat this for a few minutes.
Next, close your eyes, squeeze them shut for 5 seconds, and then open them wide for a few seconds.
Repeat this for 5 times.
Then with eyes closed, massage your eyes in a circular movement using your fingertips.
Do this for 1 minute.
Finally, lightly press 3 fingers on the upper part of the eyelid and hold it for two seconds before you release.
Repeat this 5 times.
Another easy exercise that you can do anywhere is to roll your eyes clockwise and counter-clockwise then blink.
Repeat this 5 times.
Here is another fun eye exercise.
You will need a pen for this.
With arms straight, hold your pen in front of you.
Move the pen slowly to your nose.
Focus on the pen until you can't keep your eyes on it.
Repeat 10 times.
Lastly, if you spend hours staring at the computer, practice staring at a distant object for five to ten seconds every half hour to relieve the eyes and prevent damage to the eyes.
Make sure to eat healthy foods that are rich in Vitamins A, C, and E to reduce risks of eye problems and prevent further eye damage.
Consult an ophthalmologist regularly.
