- 1). Scroll down to "Character Creation" on the main menu of "Soul Calibur IV."
- 2). Pick the "Custom Character" option from the "Character Select" screen and choose an empty character slot for the Nightmare you create to be saved to.
- 3). Choose the Male character model and the Nightmare style of fighting. Press "Auto-Generate" and confirm the randomly selected character. Don't worry about how this model looks nothing like Nightmare -- he is just a base model to work with.
- 4). Customize the model with equipment from the Nightmare set of armor. Scroll through the list of available clothing options and select the Nightmare Greaves, Nightmare Fauld, Nightmare Gloves, Nightmare Spine, Nightmare Pauldron and one of the three Nightmare helmets.
- 5). Make Nightmare large and tall by making his body type +50 Physique and +50 Muscularity. Give Nightmare a deep voice with a -50 pitch level.
- 6). Pick your favorite massive broadsword weapon for your variant of Nightmare to use in combat. Examples of Nightmare's weaponry include Soul Edge, Steel Paddle and Giant Squid.
- 7). Change the character's name to "Nightmare" in the "Name Entry" option. Select "Finish" to save Nightmare and exit to the main menu. Your Nightmare can be used in any game mode, online or off.
