- 1). Using a rigid plastic putty knife, scrape as much of the dried paint as you can from the plastic pallet.
- 2). Set the pallet on top of two overlapping canvas dropcloths.
- 3). Using clean shop rags, wipe lacquer thinner solvent onto the plastic pallet.
- 4). Immediately cover the pallet with plastic masking sheeting; ensure that there are no loose ends that might allow air underneath the sheeting, or the thinner may evaporate too quickly.
- 5). Wait 10 minutes before lifting the sheeting. Using your plastic putty knife and 80-grit sandpaper, scrape the loosened paint.
- 6). Repeat the stripping process as necessary.
- 7). Wash the plastic pallet with soap and steel wool. Rinse the pallet with a hose.
