- 1). Calculate a budget. The amount of money you are willing to spend probably is the most important factor for choosing a cabin. Fares include your cabin, food and much of the on-board entertainment. But you will want extra money to spend on specialty dining, beverages, spa services, shopping, port of call excursions and gratuities.
- 2). Use your budget, your preferred departing/returning port and desired destination to choose a Carnival Cruise. Cruises can be as short as two days or as long as more than 10 days. Once you decide on a specific cruise, you can find out exactly what cabin types are available on your ship.
- 3). Write down your priorities in choosing a stateroom. Compare your cabin choices. Interior rooms are the most affordable, and exterior rooms offer views of the ocean and destination ports. Staterooms with a balcony allow you to relax in your own private outdoor space, and suites are extra large and include an indoor seating area and balcony. Some ships include grand suites with all the amenities of a regular suite plus a walk-in closet and whirlpool bathtub. Refer to the ship floor plan to choose a room location close to the pool, youth facilities, restaurants or other ship amenities.
- 4). Explore your cabin options on the Internet. Aside from the suites, all of the cabins are the same size. Photos and videos are available on the Carnival Cruises website. These can give you a better idea of what your ship and stateroom might look like.
- 5). Book your reservation on the Internet, call 1-888-CARNIVAL for reservations over the phone or submit your phone number on the Carnival Cruise website if you would like to be contacted by a Carnival Personal Vacation Planner.
