- 1). Carpool if you are driving to your destination for spring break. This will give those traveling a chance to save on the cost of gas.
- 2). If you are flying to your spring break destination, book your ticket as early as possible. The longer you wait to book a plane ticket, the more it can cost. Even a few days can make a difference in the cost of plane tickets.
- 3). Don't eat out for every meal during a spring break trip. Find a grocery store and buy breakfast bars or snacks to munch on during the day. This will keep you from spending as much in restaurants when you do eat out. Some hotels have refrigerators and microwaves. If this is the case, buy sandwich meat and bread and microwave meals for a few days. There is nothing wrong with eating a peanut butter and jelly sandwich a few times during your spring break trip.
- 4). Take a cooler full of ice and soda so you don't spend as much during gas station stops. If you tend to pick up a snack and drink every time you stop for gas, if will save money to already have the snacks and drinks on hand for your spring break trip.
