- 1). Hook up the wet saw to the water and power supplies. Set the guide on the wet saw and clamp it down firmly into the correct position to cut the tiles so that they will be 1/2 inch shorter than the space between the edge of the counter top and the under edge of the sink. Turn on the water supply valve. Turn on the wet saw power switch.
- 2). Place a tile face up onto the table of the wet saw. Push the tile gently into the spinning blade. Keep your fingers away from the blade. Push the tile with a scrap piece of tile so your hands will be clear of the blade. Turn off the power and the water after you cut the tile. Remove the tile from the wet saw table.
- 3). Wrap the cloth around one side of the tile. Slide the covered end of the tile into the open jaws of the bench vise. Tighten the jaws of the vise.
- 4). Hold the tile polisher in both hands. Turn the polisher on and allow the tool to come to full speed. Polish the exposed edge of the tile.
- 5). Open the jaws of the vise. Remove the tile from the vise and cloth. Turn the tile 90 degrees, then slide it back into the cloth in the jaws of the vise. Tighten the jaws of the vise, polish the edge of the tile, remove, spin the tile 90 degrees and repeat until all four edges of the tile are completely smooth and ready for installation.
