• Connecticut River Expeditions is a cruise service out of Haddam that operates from February through November each year. Across the river from the historic Goodspeed Opera House in Eagle Landing State Park, CRE's main vessel is the RiverQuest, which takes guests on river rides while a guide educates them about the ecology and beauty of the Connecticut River. The owners and captains have licenses awarded by the National Coast Guard and are well-versed and knowledgeable about all things related to the river.

Camelot Cruises

• Camelot Cruises provides its guests with dining cruises on the calm Connecticut River. The company has several 400-passenger luxury ships--climate controlled and comfortable--that feature expert chefs, friendly staff and gourmet menus. Each boat has banquet facilities, immediate accommodations, live entertainment (music, magic, productions) and great views of the Connecticut River. Eagle Tours

• Eagle Tours, which set out from Haddam, take place from January to March, when many of the world's migrating birds call Connecticut home for a short time. The Eagle Tours take guests out on expeditions to see bald eagles, among other birds, and is sponsored by the Connecticut Audubon Society. The cruises depart from Haddam in Eagle Landing State Park at 10 a.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and frequently on Saturdays and Sundays. The tours last about an hour and a half and routes are based on word-of-mouth eagle sightings.
