- 1). Visit the Vancouver Public Library Central branch, 350 W. Georgia St., and go to the sixth floor, where the library stores the microfilm. The records are held in alphabetical order by the husband's last name. Give the librarian the date and name you are looking for and she will pull the correct microfilm.
- 2). Take the microfilm to a viewer and ask the librarian to help you insert it properly. View the records to confirm you have found the correct couple.
- 3). Ask the librarian for a copy of the records, then give the microfilm back to her.
- 4). Call the Vancouver Law Courts for your records if your divorce occurred after 1983. The contact information for the court is on the website at ag.gov.bc.ca/courts/overview/locations/index.htm#v, along with contact information for other courts in British Columbia.
- 5). Give the clerk your name and the date of the divorce. Request the records to be faxed or mailed to you. Give the clerk your fax number or mailing address. You will receive a bill for the copies of the records.
