Alternative Ways to Help You Quit Smoking

If you are trying to give up smoking then maybe one of the reasons why you are doing it is because you know the damage that smoking cigarettes can do to your health.
Immediately after you give up smoking your body and health will benefit from it.
There are many ways that you can approach the process of giving up cigarettes for good.
A common but drastic one is to take the cold turkey approach.
This approach is quite drastic as it means that you cease smoking right away and never touch another one again.
This approach does not suit everyone and it requires a certain type of temperament to cope with the withdrawal symptoms.
The other method is the gradual cessation approach which involves smoking fewer cigarettes each day until you reach the point where you no longer smoke a cigarette.
In this way you are slowly weaning yourself off the dependency of nicotine.
However, not everyone who has tried to give up smoking has found these two methods successful at helping them kick the habit.
They have found success in alternative methods that are less well known ways to stop smoking.
Here are a few alternative ways to help you become an ex- smoker.
Acupuncture Many people have found that acupuncture has helped them to give up.
This treatment involves putting very thin needles into certain energy points across the body.
The idea is that changing the energy flow of the body will help you to deal with your nicotine cravings far more effectively.
It is advisable that you use a qualified practitioner.
Ask friends or work colleagues whether they can recommend one.
Hypnosis A hypnotist may be able to help you by delving into your subconscious and past to identify a root problem or cause for your addition to smoking.
When you are in a state of hypnosis your mind enters into a very relaxed state making it more open to suggestion.
A skilled hypnotist can plant suggestions that will enable you to counter certain triggers that cause your nicotine cravings.
