Marmot makes a great line up of camping and hiking gear that is both well made and very durable.
Their products are practical and made with the outdoors in mind.
One of my favourite products they make is the Marmot Angel Fire sleeping bag.
Since the creation of women specific sleeping bags there have been a number of choices made from different companies but the best I have found is the Angel Fire.
Personally I chose this one because it has the option of two lengths and being a taller woman, I find the regular length to be too short.
At 5'10" the longer version of the Angel Fire is perfect.
You can also choose between the right and left hand side zipper opening which is a great option if you want it.
The Angel Fire is considered a 3 season sleeping bag with more insulation in areas that women require.
It is a 600+ goose down fill including a down filled collar.
The foot box is roomier for your feet and includes heater pockets to hold heat packs in case your feet need extra heat on colder nights.
The hood has an easy to grab draw cord and the zippers are locking so you won't wake up during the night with your zipper undone.
There are conveniently placed stash pockets for small things you may want quick access to during the night such as a water bottle, snack or headlamp.
The Angel Fire comes with both a stuff sack and a storage sack and has two hanging loops for airing out at home.
This women's sleeping bag is very comfortable, washable and compresses well for backpacking.
Although it is larger than my husband's sleeping bag the comfort and warmth is worth it for me.
I've slept with less insulation and other versions of women's sleeping bags that leave me cold or uncomfortable.
The draw cords are easy to reach and pull and the zippers on the Angel Fire never catch and are easy to unzip during the night for quick trips to the loo or to watch the night sky.
For women looking for a new sleeping bag I highly recommend considering the Marmot Angel Fire as an option.
Just keep in mind that the average height considered for women is 5'6" so if you are taller than that try out the longer version.
Women specific sleeping bags are a wonderful creation to keep you toasty warm in all the right places.
Happy Hiking!
