These machines, which can be rented from many home improvement centers, make short work of a tedious job, and eliminate the need to scrape random areas still containing dried adhesive.
- Regardless of which method chosen to remove tile, it is important to take appropriate safety precautions. Eye protection is critical, but it may also be wise to protect hands and knees as well.
Note that some old linoleum tiles may contain asbestos and must be removed by a professional. Before removing linoleum tiles, make sure they are asbestos-free.
