Overhead projectors may seem very low-tech but that does not mean they are not used any more. Plenty of schools, libraries, churches and community centers still own this type of projector and use it daily. For many of us, using an overhead projector involves relearning skills and locating tools we thought we no longer needed. Luckily, resources are available for those faced with a presentation using this type of projector. - George Torok, "The Public Speaking Pro," provides tips for using overhead projectors for presentations. The tips include instructions on where to stand while using the overhead projector, where to place the projector and how to test the font size of the slide being used before having access to the projector. A reminder and further directions are given on protecting the audience from the projector's blinding light and ways to prevent light leakage around the slide frame. His final tip demonstrates how to check the equipment and test it before use.

The information reviews using black and white and color transparencies using copy machines and computer printers.
