- 1). Park the machine on a hard, level surface, set the parking brake and remove the key from the ignition.
- 2). Follow the fuel line coming out of the top of the gas tank; it will lead to the fuel filter. Slide the two hose clamps on the fuel line away from the fuel filter using the needle nose pliers.
- 3). Place the drain pan under the fuel line to catch any fuel still in the fuel line. Pull the fuel line off the filter.
- 4). Slide both sides of the fuel line onto the new filter, making sure that the arrow on the filter is pointing in the direction of the fuel flow. Slide the two hose clamps back into position with the needle nose pliers.
