- 1). Visit Tumblr.com and sign into your account. Click on "Preferences" if you want to change the email address or password associated with your Tumblr account. Click "Save Preferences" to save the changes.
- 2). Click on your Tumblr blog's URL on the right sidebar to access your blog's dashboard.
- 3). Click "Info" on the top dashboard bar. Change your Tumblr blog's title and description in the appropriate field.
- 4). Choose on "Choose File" beneath "Portrait Photo" if you want to change the photo displayed on the sidebar above your bio. Select the image from your computer that you want to use, and click "Open" to upload it.
- 5). Click on your site's subdomain name beneath "URL." Delete the old name and type the new one if you want to change the URL of your Tumblr blog.
- 6). Click on "Theme" if you want to change the Tumblr blog's theme. Select a layout theme from the list by clicking on it. Click on "Appearance" then "Background Color" if you want to change the blog's background color.
- 7). Select the desired color from the list. Click on "Advanced" if you want to change the time zone or the number of blog posts per page.
- 8). Click on "Save" when you are done making changes to your Tumblr blog account.
