- 1). Make sure you're enrolled in the Delta SkyMiles program before you buy your ticket or fly. You can enroll online or with an agent when you call to purchase a ticket.
- 2). Provide your Delta SkyMiles number when you purchase your tickets in order to automatically add qualifying trips to your Delta SkyMiles account.
- 3). Save any tickets, receipts and boarding passes until your are certain that your trip has been added to your Delta SkyMiles account.
- 4). Check your history using the Delta SkyMiles Website if you're unsure whether your trip miles have been added to your account.
- 5). Fill out the "Request Mileage Credit" form on the Delta SkyMiles Website to add trips to your account after the fact. You will need the specific details of the flight--including flight number and ticket number--to complete this process. This only works in the case of travel with Delta or its subsidiaries. Alternately, submit copies of your documents by fax to Delta SkyMiles at (404) 773-1945.
- 6). Make sure that you complete this process and have your claim resolved within six months after traveling. If in doubt, call (800) 323-2323 to speak to a SkyMiles service representative.
