Hi! My name is Melissa Schenk on behalf of expertvillage.com today we¡¯re discussing cruise traveling tips. Now let¡¯s talk once again about cruise activities but while you¡¯re in port because a lot of things on the cruise ship are closed when you¡¯re in port. Things like going to art auctions that will happen when you¡¯re actually sailing, use of the casino, the casino¡¯s open in the evening, a lot of these things are closed when you¡¯re in the port of call aboard the ship. Also I mentioned the casino, mentioned art auctioneering any art shows, photography booths they are closed as well and also the boutiques are closed this is mandatory, it¡¯s the law that they must be closed when you¡¯re in the port of call. Something to definitely take advantage though is if you¡¯re somebody that loves the spa, when you¡¯re in the port of call the spa will have tons of sales on for that day. Even if you book ahead in an advance, you can take advantage of their in port sales the reason they put things on sale in the spa, if you want a manicure, a pedicure or a facial or a massage is because most people want to get out into the port and take in a day out there and they don¡¯t want to be aboard the ship or these people want to earn money and they have stay on the ship so they¡¯re going to entice you. A good idea is structure or strategically plan your day so that if you want to go the spa but you also want to go into the port of call either get up early, go and do your business in the port of call, go and do some exploring and book a later appointment before you sail away. This is a great way to take advantage of both taking some adventures in the port but also some spa sales.
