How to Install Traffic Master Wood Flooring

    • 1). Lay your first course of Traffic Master boards along your starting wall, directly on the existing floor. Position them so the grooves on one side of the boards are facing the wall. Put shims between the boards and the wall, to make a gap there that will allow the flooring to expand.

    • 2). Snap the boards of the first course together end to end, cutting the last piece on your miter saw to fit.

    • 3). Set the rest of the courses alongside the first one, connecting them together along the edges by their tongue and groove fittings. Cut all the end pieces as needed. Make sure the ends of the boards don't line up between courses (the boards will come in various lengths to allow this ``staggering'' effect).

    • 4). Cut and install your floor trim using the miter saw and a trim nailer, to cover the spaces around the edges of the floor and hold the floor down. Don't nail into the floorboard, but into the wall.
